Nashville Airport To Be Renamed After Dolly Parton: People magazine says Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is renaming the Nashville International Airport the Dolly Parton International Airport. The announcement came on Friday three days after Parton died at age 80. Parton’s team was touched by the idea. A Change.org petition started by Tennessee residents Lydia Popovich and Dan Dion had more than 150,000 signatures

Garth Brooks’ daughter, Allie Colleen Brooks, recently shared her “greatest fear” about her father while paying tribute to Dolly Parton. The 30-year-old Instagrammed, “My greatest fear in life is the day my Dad loses his life and I have to see the world mourn a man they never knew the way I knew him.” She offered Parton’s family and friends her condolences and thanked them for sharing her with the world. Allie called mourning Parton “a beautiful privilege” and wrote, “To grieve is to know you loved deeply and fully.” Some commenters considered the post insensitive, including one who thought Allie was suggesting only Parton’s family could be sad. Allie responded, “I’m not telling anyone else how to grieve. I’m just acknowledging the family. You do you babe.” She later wrote on Instagram that she did not understand why people were angry with her.
