Carly Pearce and Jelly Roll led an all-star Grand Ole Opry singalong of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” during a tribute show on Saturday. Pearce closed her five-song set with the song after telling the crowd she worked as a Dollywood performer as a teenager. “I really did work nine to five for Dolly, so I do feel that it’s only right that we honor the queen.” Jelly Roll joined her onstage, followed by the night’s other performers. The show ended with a video of Parton singing “I Will Always Love You.”

Bailey Zimmerman says that his songwriting process begins in the shower. “It’s usually in the morning. Me and my dog Marley, we’ll do our stretches outside and then I’ll take a shower. And when I’m showering, I’ll throw on lo-fi beats just to get a tempo in my head. Usually, I just think about [stuff] I’m dealing with. That’s kind of where my ideas come from. I’ll get out of the shower and have a melody. Then I’ll go to the couch and grab my guitar. If I don’t play a cool riff within the first five minutes, I’ll set it down and won’t write all day. But I’ll know if it’s good, because I’ll play something and go, ‘Alright, there it is.'”
