Corey Kent said he got into music after failing to make the basketball team at school. “I grew up playing sports and I continued to play through high school, but I remember trying out for a basketball team and not making the cut by one person. After that, I picked up the guitar and it was so natural. It was a slow progression. My parents never had to make me practice, I mean, I just did it on my own.”
