“The reason I wanted to write a song called ‘Chevy Silverado’ is because when I was 16, I bought my grandpa’s 2005 white crew cab short bed Chevy Silverado, and I went everywhere in that truck. I grew up in that truck. I got my heart broke for the first time. I fell in love for the first time in that truck. I lived my life in that truck, and I think that’s why it’s so special to me, and also because my grandpa’s not with us anymore, and he was one of my best friends, so, ‘Chevy Silverado’ means everything to me.”
