Hardy says that he once had to ask a stranger to pull his truck out of the mud when it got stuck while hunting. “I drove my truck out in the woods and parked where I usually parked it and a torrential downpour came while I was in the deer stand. I walked back to my truck, and my truck was completely stuck in the mud. I didn’t have a phone, so I had to walk like a mile and a half and knock on somebody’s door, some random guy, and ask him to come pull me out. I was soaking wet, and I didn’t get back until like nine o’clock that night.”
