Ever since Kris Kristofferson passed away on September 28th, the Country world has been sending their love. And it seems like the rest of the world has been falling in love with Kris’ music all over again, too. The week before his passing, Kris’ discography had a total of 79,000 streams, according to Luminate. After his passing, it went up to nearly 1.9 MILLION streams. That’s a 2,292% increase. It’s always bittersweet that artists see a bump when they pass away, but what better tribute can you pay a singer than to listen to their music over and over again.
Jelly Roll Talks About His Relationship with Music … and how he believes music helps heal people because of it’s effect on his mother here is what he said:
Who do you think the most in-demand Country artist right now is? Now You could make a case for Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen, or Post Malone. All of whom are very busy performers. It’s Lainey Wilson. And that makes sense. She is the reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year . . . Her character has an arc on the TV show “Yellowstone” . . . and since 2020, she has done 15 duets or collaborations with other artists. So, not only is she killing it all by herself, but a lot of other singers are wanting to duet with her, because she’s such a hot commodity. It probably helps that she’s so authentic and laid back, too.
