Jordan Davis originally didn’t want to be a singer. His brother was playing all over Louisiana and he was just carrying his equipment in and out of venues. So, when he moved to town, he was working on getting a record deal and Jordan was trying to get a publishing deal. Then a friend told songwriters, who were also artists, were much more attractive to publishing companies. Jordan said, ‘All right, well, I want to be an artist, too.’”
