Jordan Davis tells AmericanSongwriter.com that juggling family, fatherhood, and his career stretches him thin but also reshapes his priorities. “From a brutally honest standpoint, the more kids you add, the thinner you get stretched. I’ve always tried to keep that balance of being a dad, being a husband, and continuing to grow the career. The biggest thing that helped me was putting being a dad back to the top of the list, spending time with the family, traveling, and doing stuff with them.”

Luke Combs says he feared his weight and appearance would cost him “a shot” as a country singer. “It was definitely the thing that was like, ‘Man, am I really not gonna get a shot because I’m a bigger dude or whatever?’ And there was a lot of self-doubt in that department. I knew I could perform as good as anybody, I felt like, and put on a good show and write songs that I felt like people would enjoy. And that was one of my biggest fears, like, ‘Man, maybe I don’t get a shot just because of the way I look.’ You know what I mean? And like, that was a hard pill to swallow, because you can’t really change the way you look.”
