For several years now during the fourth quarter at Tennessee Volunteer home games, you would hear “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks. Well, that’s now been replaced with Morgan Wallen’s song, “The Way I Talk”. While some people attributed the change to the recent allegations made against Garth Brooks, the university said this change had been coming for months. After all, Garth is from Oklahoma, and Morgan is a local boy and huge fan . . . plus his song name drops the team. Fans heard it for the first time this past weekend, and everybody immediately started singing along.
Is Kane Brown going to give us new music in the near future?! … here’s what he says:
Kane’s new album, “The High Road” Drops on January 24th
The Dallas Cowboys got destroyed by the Detroit Lions 47 to 9 on Sunday. And in the middle of the blowout, they decided it was a good time to announce that Lainey Wilson will be their Thanksgiving Halftime show performer. Needless to say, their fans were less than pleased with the timing. Here are some of the best reactions:
- “Can she run the ball, or stop the run?”
- “If the special guest can’t call offensive plays, I don’t want to hear it.”
- “No one cares. This team sucks.”
And those were the nicest comments we could find. Yikes. Well, hopefully the Cowboys win a few games from now until then, so Lainey gets a warmer welcome on Thanksgiving.
