Garth Brooks honored Randy Travis with the Artist of a Lifetime Award at the CMT Artists of the Year special last night. Other artists honored are Chris Stapleton, Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, and Luke Combs.
Miranda Lambert says that this person always believed in her. “I think one of the first people that saw something in me that I didn’t see yet was definitely my mom,” she tells us. “I mean I think she… I was kind of a shy kid and not very great in school or sports, but I think she knew that I had something special and she sort of let me explore everything and find my own path, but I think she knew the whole time that I was meant to do something different and bigger.”
Jimmie Allen says that the reason he loves Disney World so much is because it represents second chances and perseverance. He says that Walt Disney lost everything, he had his first character, Oswald, stolen, and he still didn’t quit. Jimmie loves that Walt just bet on himself and he says that it inspires him.
