What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas . . . but not forever. (???) Carrie Underwood has tacked on a few more dates to “Reflection” . . . her three-year residency in Las Vegas. But she also says this will be the end. In a post on Instagram, she said, “These past three years have gone by so fast! I’ve had the absolute best time. Thank you to all the fans . . . we look forward to seeing more of you at our final shows next year.” It looks like the last date is Saturday, April 12th.

What counts as REAL “Country” music in 2024? If you sing something with a cowboy hat on, is it Country now? Chris Stapleton said a lot of people forget it’s NEVER really been just one thing. There’s always been a “broad spectrum” of music living under the Country banner. He said if you go back through the decades, there’s always been “a pop side,” “something a little grittier,” and stuff that “meets in the middle.” So, he doesn’t get caught up in the debate. It’s just “different strokes for different folks.” He noted that even a lot of his own stuff doesn’t fit the cookie-cutter definition of what Country music is, or was.
