Sometimes a song just keeps raising its hand…

Luke Bryan is telling his life story in a candid new docuseries, “Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary.”  He recently reflected on the tragedies in his life including the death of his brother, Chris, who died in a car wreck when Luke was just 20.  In 2007, his sister, Kelly, died suddenly.  Seven years later, Kelly’s husband, Lee, died of a heart attack and Luke took in their three children.  He says he filmed the new docuseries, in part, to help fans heal from their own tragedies.

Reba says she and her boyfriend, Rex Linn, caught COVID despite being vaccinated.  She also said in her livestream that her live shows may be affected by the spike in cases, including her scheduled shows with Brooks & Dunn at Caesars in Vegas this December.

Clay Walker says his wife, Jessica, inspired a lot of his new album, Texas to Tennessee, including the title track.  “Texas to Tennessee is really about our journey with my career.  She has been a part of me for sixteen years,” Clay tells us.  “So, “Texas to Tennessee” is the title cut to the album, and one of the songs on the album that is really about that journey that we both experienced together.”

Sometimes a song just keeps raising its hand… Lainey Wilson moved to Nashville 10 years ago, and she says there was never a time that she didn’t think it wouldn’t work for her.  She tells us that her new single, “Two Story House,” is one she has played in Writers’ Rounds for years, and people would always start crying.  She calls it a “song that just kept raising its hand.”
