Chris Young spoke with us recently about how he’s spent his time during the pandemic. “I don’t know if I would’ve ever spent this much time at home during the summer because this is the first time in 15-16 years that I’ve been home during the summer which is really really strange because normally I’m gone and touring. Catching up with family and friends during the summer is just something that I normally don’t even plan for…I don’t even think about that. So, it was pretty wild. That doesn’t sound like much, but if you think about if you were gone every summer and you were never at home and then now you’re stuck there…it’s like, oh, this is different.”
Luke Bryan is “so happy” for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. He admires how they approached their relationship and their journey to marriage. In fact, Luke was joking around that if Blake gave Gwen ample time to come to her senses, she’d leave him.
Garth Brooks’ sold out Nashville stadium concert Saturday was postponed due to a severe lightning storm. Emmylou Harris and Trisha Yearwood were onstage at the time the evacuation order was given. And speaking of Garth…here’s a sign of the times…there will be an on-site COVID-19 vaccination clinic at his concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City this Saturday.
Someone may be in trouble over his #1 hit…Jake Owen is being sued for copyright infringement over his song Made For You. Alexander Cardinale and Morgan Reid have filed suit alleging that Jake’s song lifted significant portions of its structure and lyrics from their song of the same name, which dates back to 2014.
