Cody Johnson had a great night at the CMT Music Awards last night winning his first two trophies for Digital-First Performance of the Year for “Dear Rodeo,” and Male Video of the Year for “Til You Can’t.”  Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood grabbed two awards, too, for “If I Didn’t Love You,” which won Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year.  Female Video of the Year went to Miranda Lambert for “If I Was a Cowboy.”  Maddie & Tae won for Duo/Group Video of the Year for “Woman You Got.”  Breakthrough Video of the Year went to Parker McCollumKing George picked up a trophy, too, for CMT Performance of the Year for “Is Anybody Goin’ to San Antone” from CMT Giants: Charley Pride.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are calling on everyone to chip in and help refugees in the Ukraine and around the world with donations, calling it the greatest global relief plan mankind has ever seen.

She had to PIVOT to make this work…  Kelsea Ballerini had to co-host the CMT Music Awards from home because she tested positive for COVID.  “You know what, I’m feeling much better, um, I’m more bummed than anything,” she says.  “Physically feeling okay at this point.  Just a bit of a broken heart, that’s all.”
