Thomas Rhett is the oldest son of Country singer Rhett Akins (That Ain’t My Truck) . In early 2012 he released his first single “Something To Do With My Hands” , followed by one of my favorite early TR songs “Beer With Jesus”. When I first met him in concert at the Amp in Tampa, That song had just come out and he was opening for Toby Keith and Brantley Gilbert and he walked out into the crowd at the Amp before his set and NO ONE knew who he was! I did, and snagged this picture His first # 1 was his third single “It Goes like This”. He just had his 22nd # 1 in 2022 with “Angel’s Don’t Always Have Wings”. He will be back at the Amp in Tampa as the HEADLINER September 5th, 20025.
