I first met Chris Lucas and Preston Brust better known as LoCash at the Suwannee River Jam in Live Oak when they were just starting out. We struck up a friendship to a point where they know me by name now. They have been performing since 2010 and had their first # 1 in 2016 with “I Know Somebody”. They have also performed at one of our Acoustic concerts and they always have a good time. Last Friday I got to emcee their show at the Florida Cracker Kitchen in Brooksville and I drove there in the K-COUNTRY van. When I entered the venue near the backstage area I was told to move the van to another location further down the street with better visibility. When I went to turn around I ran over some rocks for a road topping instead of pavement and the rocks were all rocks in a mound. No solid ground underneath. The back wheels of the van sunk into the rocks and the wheels started spinning and I was stuck! I didn’t know what to do and the show was getting ready to start with the opening acts. I got out of the van and kinda threw my hands up in the air in frustration. All of the sudden I hear a commotion from the backstage area where LoCash’s tour bus was parked and I saw Chris and Preston and their roadcrew running over to me to help! They helped get a big 4 wheel drive vehicle, hooked up the van to the winch. Drove the van and even helped push it. Eventually the van was pulled out and I was able to introduce LoCash on stage and I thanked them profusely. These guys really have a heart for helping others! Thank you LoCash!
