I first met Arizona Native Dierks Bentley backstage at a concert we did in Gainesville at the O’Connell Center in Gainesville with Luke Bryan and Bucky Covington. It’s was a Valentine’s Day concert as I recall. He was so nice to all of us backstage. During Covid he did a Bar Tour concert that made a stop at Vivid Dance Hall in Downtown Gainesville when a lot of places were still locked down. It was welcome relief to see a live concert back then. This picture was taken on the stage at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville and Dierks asked my wife and I to come with him and watch his opening act Ashley McBryde perform. It was a very cool moment and I had to take a selfie of the moment. Dierks will be coming back to Florida in the Fall. He will be performing at the Pig Jib BBQ Competition in Tampa on Saturday, October 19th.
