Rubbin’ Elbows: Dierks Bentley

93.7 K COUNTRY

When my Daughter Lyndsy was in Elementary school I would drive her to school and we would listen to K-COUNTRY on the radio. Lyndsy was not a fan of Country music but I made her listen. She would never comment on the songs or anything. But one day “I Hold On” by Dierks Bentley came on and she asked me out of the blue. “Dad..What is this song about? Why does he say I hold on so much? I explained to her the meaning of the song and she really liked it every time it came on after that. We made a connection! So when Dierks came to Tampa I got backstage passes for me and Lyndsy and she got to meet Dierks in person. Dierks was so kind to her! He showed her pictures of his Daughter on his phone and answered her questions and took this picture. We ate at Waffle House on the way back. It was a true Daddy-Daughter date I will never forget!
