Cole Rainey Swindell started out as a successful songwriter writing songs for Craig Campbell, Thomas Rhett, Scotty McCreery his college buddy Luke Bryan and more. Cole went to Georgia Southern University where he majored in marketing and met his friend Luke Bryan who had gone to Georgia Southern a few years before Cole and was back at school to attend a fraternity alumni party before his concert in Statesboro. Cole left Georgia for Nashville in 2007 and for three years sold merchandise at Luke’s concert. I saw him back then when Luke did a show at the Old Urban Cowboy Entertainment Complex in Ocala and Cole was at the merchandise stand. He eventually got signed to Warner-Nashville and in 2014 his debut song “Chillin It” went to # 1 and he’s had a few more since. He did Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour that came to Whitehurst Cattle Company between Williston and Archer in 2014 and he did a concert for K-COUNTRY listeners at Honda Of Ocala in the showroom. This picture was taken in Tampa when he was again on tour with Luke Bryan and it was pouring down rain as I walked into the venue. My shirt was soaked when we took this picture. Cole was recently at the University Of Florida with Brett Young and his latest album “Stereotype” came out April 8th of this year. His latest single is “Never Say Never” with Lainey Wilson.
