Sad news this past Saturday afternoon. Naomi Judd passed away at the age of 76. Wynonna and Ashley Judd put out a joint statement confirming their mother’s death. The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame yesterday.
Tim McGraw says he won’t have his beard from the TV show ”1883” when he tours. When Tim wrapped filming his final scene, the first thing he did was go to the trailer and shave and “James” was gone. The beardless one will make concert stops this Thursday in Jacksonville and Friday in Tampa.
Garth and Trisha played for fans this past Saturday night in Baton Rouge at Tigers Stadium on the campus of LSU:
“What I love about playing Louisiana, ‘Friends in Low Places’ is not going to be the biggest song of the night (laughs). I cannot wait to play ‘Callin’ Baton Rouge.’ Right now we have the set-list that’s drawn up for LSU; we have it in there seven times.”
From the “Oopsy-Daisy Department” . . .the Grammy Museum somehow left out Carrie Underwood in their “Power of Women in Country Music” exhibit announcement. She has eight Grammys.
