Chris Young loves spending time with his mom. He says Mother’s Day isn’t about getting her a gift, it’s about saying thank you. He says his mom shaped so much of his life. She raised him and his sister by herself until she met their stepdad. And he says he never wanted for anything.

Darius Rucker could never stand disappointing his late mom. He says he thinks that’s the main reason he is the way he is. “I have this innate fear of disappointing my mom,” Darius tells us. “My mom’s not even alive, and I have a fear of her looking down from heaven and going, “Man, I’m just so disappointed in my son.” She could have said anything in the world she wanted to me, but if she would have said, “Son, you just disappointed me,” it would have killed me. It would have killed me.”
