Chris Janson loves performing a random cover song from time to time during his show. “Favorite cover song to do in concert: ‘All My Rowdy Friends are Coming Over Tonight.’ Hank Jr. just reminds me of my childhood,” Chris tells us. “Totally bad-ass and fun and rock and roll and country all at the same time. It’s always been my favorite country song.”
Maren Morris was the second performer to back out of the 2021 CMT Awards last night. She and Gabby Barrett both cited scheduling conflicts and personal reasons. Ingrid Andress stepped in for Maren, while Lindsey Ell took Gabby’s place performing with Lady A and Carly Pearce.
Michael Ray’s latest single, “Picture,” was co-written by Hardy and David Garcia, but it’s super-personal for Michael because the song was written to celebrate his Uncle Terry who passed away about a week before they wrote it.
