I failed to mention yesterday that Carrie Underwood won a Grammy for Best Roots Gospel album. The win left her pretty emotional. “I feel like it’s more important because I feel like this is one of the most important bodies of work I’ve ever been a part of, been able to do,” she tells us. “This is one thing that I’ve wanted to do literally my whole career. I’ve wanted to make this album and I got to, and this just means the world to me.”
Keith Urban was recently performing in Vegas when he spotted the Backstreet Boys in the audience! He was singing “Wasted Time” and changed the lyrics from “We had the Guns on the radio” to “Backstreet Boys were on the radio.” How. Cool. Is. That…?!
If you’ve ever wondered why there are so many breakup songs out there, Cole Swindell says that it’s because so many people can relate to them, and that’s why we love country music, in general: because we’ve all felt the same way at one point in time.
It’s all in the family… Thomas Rhett got a shout-out from his dad, Rhett Akins, regarding his new album Where We Started. Dad posted this message on social media: “Thomas Rhett, I can’t believe you just released your sixth album. Proud of all you’ve accomplished in just a short time. This is such a great album. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. I can’t wait to work on the next one.” Awwwwwww!
