Many of our artists are back to life as normal as they head out on the road. Chris Stapleton is one of them. “Well, you certainly gain an appreciation for what we had lost, which was getting to interact with people every night and hear people sing songs back to you and see smiles on their faces, and people having a good time and the communion that brings,” he tells us. “It’s a wonderful thing, and we certainly missed it. It was 504 days, I think, we didn’t play a show, so…”
Dierks Bentley is getting back out there, too, but he’s got mixed feelings about life on the road. He loves what he does, but he really misses his family when he goes on tour. He says songs like “It Won’t Be Like This for Long” by Darius Rucker and “You’re Gonna Miss This” by Trace Adkins really start to get to him.
Hardy says he’s excited for his upcoming wedding. He and his fiancée have a wedding planner, so that makes it easier. Plus, they have a venue and a date. The wedding is “sometime in October.”
He’s got no regrets… Eric Church has no regrets about cancelling his San Antonio show last month to see a Final Four Match between Duke and North Carolina. He says it was a big deal to him because of the rivalry, because they’ve never met in the tournament, and because it was Coach K’s final game. He spent the night with his sons and his dad and he’s really glad he went. He is, however, making it up to those fans with a free show in September.
