He says his fiancée is his biggest critic…

Carly Pearce  is up for four ACM awards on March 7th, and she’s feeling grateful that fans are connecting with her ACM-nominated album 29: Written in Stone.  “This is the most personal music that I’ve ever put out, but seeing fans sing it back to me, and seeing them be moved by these songs: ‘Should’ve Known Better,’ ’29,’ ‘Day One,’” she tells us.  “I see them singing and I see that they’ve felt the pain, as well.  They’ve been there, too.  And I feel like I’m bringing them to a place of understanding they are not alone.”

Chris Janson had a special moment just after he began his Halfway to Crazy tour in Des Moines.  He brought combat vet Bradley Hanawalt on stage to celebrate his service and surprised him with professional archer and bow designer John Dudley who presented Bradley with a custom bow, appropriately named “The Veteran.”

Russell Dickerson calls the first show he ever played a “sympathy show.”  It was in his hometown of Union City, TN and they let him play the county fair.  It was a good turnout, but he still thinks he was asked because it was his hometown.

He says his fiancée is his biggest critic… Hardy says he runs all his songs past his fiancée, Caleigh.  If she doesn’t like them, they don’t make the cut. There have been songs he’s loved, and she’ll tell him that it’s not a hit, and off the album it goes.
