Dolly Parton says she covered her goddaughter’s song, “Wrecking Ball” on her rock album because the first time she heard it, she started crying in her car. By the way, her goddaughter is Miley Cyrus.
Nate Smith says his love of songwriting began with his love of radio. His mom’s friend gave him his first radio and he started writing songs immediately. In fact, he’d get in trouble at school for writing songs instead of taking notes.
