Jameson Rodgers has a live album coming out on May 6th. It was recorded in Oxford, MS and takes him back to his roots. The first gig he ever played where he actually sold tickets was at Proud Larry’s in Oxford back in 2016.
Watch for another collaboration to drop. This one involves Midland and Jon Pardi and it’s called “Longneck Way to Go.” It’s on Midland’s upcoming album The Last Resort Greetings From which will be out May 6th.
Miranda Lambert’s new album Palomino is available tomorrow with 15 new songs. She tells us about how the song “Actin’ Up” came about. “I was doing my first shows back at Billy Bob’s and they have a disco ball saddle, so I was like, ‘That’d be a cool visual to start a song with,’ you know?” she says. “I was like ‘Mirror, mirror on the saddle’ is kind of cool, and then, like, where do you go from there? Like, then we ran with that. We ran with all these crazy metaphors that don’t really make any sense, but they make total sense.” Check out the saddle:
