Denzel Washington has a fascinating take on “cancel culture” Denzel was asked about “cancel culture” in a recent interview with “Complex”, and at first, he played dumb . . . saying he didn’t know what it meant. When the interviewer explained that it’s “when you lose public support” due to something you’ve done . . . Denzel said, quote, “Who cares?  What made public support so important?” The interviewer tried to explain that fans and followers can be seen as a “currency,” Denzel said, “I don’t care who’s following who . . . you can’t lead and follow at the same time . . . I don’t follow anybody . . . I follow God.” He added, “You can’t be canceled, if you haven’t signed up.  Don’t sign up.”
