OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Two re-elected members of the Marion County School Board officially began their new terms Tuesday morning in a ceremony held at the School Board chambers at 1614 E. Fort King St. The event was also streamed live on the Marion County Public Schools YouTube channel.
Dr. Allison Campbell Takes Oath with Family by Her Side
Dr. Allison Campbell, representing District 1, celebrated the start of her second four-year term. Her son, Cade, administered her oath of office while her younger son, Connor, held a Bible with deep family significance—it once belonged to Campbell’s grandmother. Her oldest son, Cole, and husband, Andy, stood alongside her during the ceremony.

Campbell’s district includes Eighth Street, Greenway, Shady Hill, South Ocala, and Wyomina Park Elementary Schools; Madison Street Academy; Osceola Middle; Forest and Lake Weir High Schools; and Marion Technical Institute.
Voters re-elected Campbell in August.
Lori Conrad Begins New Term as School Board Chair
District 2’s Lori Conrad also took her oath of office, officially starting her first full four-year term after completing a two-year special term. A longtime family friend, Sean Jackson, administered her oath, while her daughter, Hannah, held the Bible.

Conrad represents a wide range of schools, including Belleview Elementary, Middle, and High Schools; Belleview-Santos, Emerald Shores, Harbour View, Legacy, and Stanton-Weirsdale Elementary Schools; Marion Charter School; and Lake Weir Middle School.
Following the ceremony, Conrad was unanimously elected chair of the Marion County School Board for the next year, while Eric Cummings, a former board chair, was chosen as vice-chair.
Looking Ahead
Both board members expressed gratitude for their families, constituents, and the opportunity to serve, promising to prioritize the success and well-being of students and educators in the years to come.
