LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) says it all started with an improper license tag.
LCSO says a deputy on patrol in Williston ran the tag of a gold car that caught his attention.
As it turns out, his intuition was right; the license plate was not assigned to the vehicle it was attached to.
The deputy then pulled the car over at a Marathon gas station at County Road 318.
As the deputy approached the car, the sheriff says he noticed what appeared to be a black handgun on the center console of the car, as well as a shotgun in the driver’s floorboard.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies asked the driver, identified as 38-year-old Augustino Jazikoff of Williston, to step out of the vehicle.
Deputies say as Jazikoff was stepping out of his vehicle, a glass pipe rolled out from underneath his leg and his pant pocket was wrong side out.
Jazikoff was then promptly detained by the Levy County deputy.
After running his driver’s license, deputies discovered Jazikoff had a suspended license and was a multi-time convicted felon.
Deputies also asked the passenger of the car, 29-year-old Laura Pendlebury of Williston, to step out. They later discovered that she was also a convicted felon.

Deputies say a search of the car, yielded a short barrel shotgun, multiple 12-gauge slugs. The say a bag with Pendlebury’s identification contained additional shotgun shells.
In addition, deputies say they found methamphetamines under the driver’s seat.
Both Pendlebury and Jazikoff were arrested for multiple felony violations.
At the jail, detention staff conducted a search of Pendlebury, where they say they found a bag of cocaine hidden on her body.
Deputies say what they thought was a “handgun” resting on the center console actually turned out to be a lighter.
Jazikoff has been charged with possession of a short barrel shotgun, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of ammo by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug equipment and driving while his license is suspended.
His bond is currently set at $164,000
Pendlebury was charged with possession of ammo by a convicted felon and possession of cocaine. Her bond has been set at $35,000.
