OCALA, FL (352today.com) – If your daily routine includes driving through the intersection of NW 8th Street and Pine Ave., you’ll want to know about some upcoming changes.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is proposing updates to improve safety and traffic flow by converting the current full median opening into a two-way directional median. This could mean adjusting how you access certain turns or intersections.

FDOT will hold an in-person open house on Thursday, May 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Ocala Downtown, 120 E. Silver Springs Blvd. “Attendees will be able to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.”

For those unable to attend in person, FDOT is offering an online webinar option at 5:30 p.m. To join, register at fdot.cc/US27_at_NW8th_St.
