OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A pilot survived an emergency landing after a plane experienced a landing gear failure.
Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) responded to a call at the Ocala International Airport (OIA) at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving reports from the OIA control tower of an aircraft experiencing problems with its landing gear.

OFR responders were on standby and witnessed as the small plane successfully landed flat on its belly.
Firefighters stayed on the scene until they were certain the plane would not catch on fire.
According to OFR, no injuries were reported on the scene.
