OCALA, FL (352today.com) – For the first time in over two decades, Ocala has a brand-new chartered Rotary club. On April 15, the Rotary Club of IMPACT Ocala officially joined the global Rotary International family as a standalone club, marking the first new charter in the area in 23 years.

But this isn’t your grandfather’s Rotary. IMPACT Ocala is designed for today’s busy world, built on a flexible model that emphasizes service over structure. Members participate in monthly service projects, support meaningful causes, and meet either virtually or in person, whatever fits their lives best.

Originally launched ten months ago as a Companion Club with support from the Rotary Club of Ocala-Sunset, IMPACT Ocala has quickly evolved into a vibrant, mission-driven group. Now chartered, the club blends Rotary’s traditional values with modern-day outreach.

“This is more than just receiving a charter – it feels like the beginning of something truly special,” said Herb Silverman, Founding Member. “We are a club made up of all ages, all backgrounds, and all beliefs, and what brings us together is a shared passion to serve.”
