Ocala police seek tips from community to help solve deadly weekend shooting

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department (OPD) is investigating a weekend shooting and hopes you can help them crack the case.

OPD says they responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of NW 20th Ave. on Saturday, June 29, at around 10:30 p.m.

Officers say they found one person dead. “We don’t believe there is any danger to the community,” said OPD in a post on Facebook. “If anyone has information that may help our detectives in their investigation, please come forward.”

OPD asks that you call them at 352-369-7000 or call Crime Stoppers of Marion County anonymously by dialing 352-368-STOP (7867) or **TIPS on your cell phone. You can also provide tips anonymously online.

Police say if you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
