Ocala Fire and Rescue’s Rapid Response Extinguishes Fire in an Apartment Unit

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Thanks to the rapid response of Ocala Fire and Rescue, a fire at an Ocala apartment complex could have been much worse.

Ocala Fire and Rescue responded to a call at 6:21 p.m. on Sept. 21, at the Grove Apartments on 5697 SW 49th Road. The crew that responded were able to find the precise location of the fire using thermal imaging cameras. The fire appeared to be electrical in nature.

The exterior crew disabled the power to the unit and used tools to gain access to the dwelling and extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries.

The other agencies that responded to the scene of the incident, were the Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire and Rescue.
