OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Board of County Commissioners gave the green light this week to several projects that will shape how Marion County grows and moves in the years ahead.
Commerce park expansion set to bring jobs
The board approved a development agreement for Phase 2 of the Florida Crossroads Commerce Park. The project, which includes companies like 484 Road Runner Resources, LLC, is expected to bring more businesses and jobs to the area. This was the final step after two required public hearings.
More homes coming to Pioneer Ranch
Commissioners also approved the final plat for Phase 5 of the Pioneer Ranch neighborhood. This means construction can move forward, adding more homes as the county continues to grow.
Road improvements on the way
To help with traffic, the board approved a $657,001 bid for improvements at the intersection of County Road 484 and Marion Oaks Boulevard. They also approved land purchases and drainage work needed for upgrades at CR 225A and Highway 27.
