New charter high school opens in Marion County with vision to teach students to become entrepreneurs

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A new charter high school in Ocala is positioning itself as catering to students seeking “personalized learning within a smaller educational setting with a commitment for 100% graduation rate.”

Clear Choice Academies, Inc. (CCA) announced the opening of its newest educational institution, Ocali Charter High School (OCHS). The school is located at 3850 W. Anthony Rd.

The school just kicked off its first student cohorts this month. They will graduate in 2026 and 2027.

A release from OCHS touts a pioneering Online Business Incubator (OBI) program, “This unique program equips students with the skills to conceptualize, launch, and operate their own online businesses, providing comprehensive instruction in business development, economics, marketing, management, and legal compliance.”

“OBI collaborates with local business proprietors, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and professionals across various industries to provide our students with valuable life skills, ethical integrity, and optimal business practices, empowering them for future success,” said Leo Pacheco, Chairman of CCA.

CCA recruited former Forest High School principal, Elizabeth Brown, to serve as principal for OCHS. “Our passion revolves around creating a school culture that is laser-focused on students’ individual needs. Our first consideration in all that we do is what is best for students,” said Brown.

Students and parents who are interested in learning more about OCHS are invited to attend an informational meeting at the school on either Tuesday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. or Monday, Sept. 18 at 5 p.m.

CCA also operates Ocali Charter Middle School.
