MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) — A 25-year-old Ocala man was arrested Tuesday, July 1, 2025, on charges related to child pornography and bestiality, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
Za’Mond Shanard Smith, born Feb. 17, 2000, faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography, four counts of possession of material depicting sexual activity with animals, and one count of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
MCSO’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit received 11 tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children between January and April 2025, indicating that a user had uploaded child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to various online platforms. Detectives traced the uploads to Smith’s residence at 824 SW 56th Ave., Ocala.
During an interview with Detective Chase King, MCSO says Smith admitted to viewing and resharing CSAM via his “X” account, creating new accounts after bans. A digital forensic analysis of Smith’s phone uncovered nine videos of CSAM and four videos depicting bestiality.
Smith was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail.
