BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – Lezli Merritt has been named City Clerk of Belleview, succeeding Mariah Moody, who transitions to the role of City Administrator following the retirement of longtime Administrator Sandi McKamey.
McKamey retired on Jan. 25, 2025, after 45 years of dedicated service to Belleview in various roles, leaving a lasting legacy of leadership and commitment to the city’s development.
“Sandi’s contributions to our city have been monumental,” said Mayor Christine Dobkowski. “Her unwavering commitment to Belleview’s growth and success has touched every corner of our community. While we wish her the very best in her well-deserved retirement, we are pleased to see the baton passed to Mariah Moody and Lezli Merritt. Both are exemplary leaders who bring their own unique talents, ensuring a bright future for our city.”

Moody, who served as City Clerk for several years, steps into her new role with enthusiasm and a vision for Belleview’s future. “I am honored to continue serving Belleview in this new capacity,” Moody said. “Sandi’s mentorship has been invaluable, and I look forward to building on the foundation she has established while embracing new opportunities to serve our residents.”
Merritt, who assumes the City Clerk position, brings 15 years of experience with Belleview, having held roles in customer service, the Public Works Department, and most recently as Executive Assistant to the Director of Public Works.
“I am very excited to step into the role of City Clerk,” said Merritt. “Throughout my 15-years of service for the City of Belleview, I’ve been able to work with staff at all levels and interact with our citizens on a daily basis. I’m eager to continue to serve our residents by providing exceptional service and transparency to the Belleview community.”
