BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The inaugural Gregg Smith Automotive Car Show made a big splash during Belleview’s annual Founder’s Day celebration on Saturday, May 3, raising over $1,500 for the United Way of Marion County.
Held at Lake Lillian, the event featured 91 vehicles representing a wide range of automotive styles—from vintage classics to modern muscle, Jeeps, imports, and custom lowriders. Entry fees and raffle ticket sales generated the charitable donation, which will benefit local programs supporting families in need.
“As a new addition to our Founder’s Day celebration, the turnout was exceptional,” said Robert Vass, Events and Promotions Manager for the City of Belleview. “Not only did we welcome nearly 100 gorgeous vehicles, but we also saw car clubs, families, and residents come together in support of a meaningful cause.”

Judged competitions were held in several categories, offering car enthusiasts a chance to showcase their work and win awards. The Ocala Street Cruisers took home honors for having the most club members in attendance.
“Gregg Smith Automotive has always been proud to serve and support the Belleview community, and this year’s show was a true reflection of that mission,” said Betty Otero, owner of Gregg Smith Automotive. “It was an honor to sponsor an event that brings people together… to make a tangible difference through charitable giving.”
The car show was supported by a network of local sponsors, including Citizens First Bank, Graham Automotive (NAPA), O’Reilly Auto Parts, Jasper Engines, Clifford Insurance, and National Parts Depot.
Funds raised will support education, income stability, and health initiatives through the United Way of Marion County.
