Florida gas prices fluctuate, rise slightly

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Florida gas prices experienced a brief dip last week, reaching a low of $3.02 per gallon, according to AAA – The Auto Club. However, prices rebounded by 11 cents to $3.13 per gallon on Sunday.

Despite the recent fluctuations, AAA reports that the state average remains relatively stable, only two cents higher than the previous week. While prices are up three cents compared to last month and five cents compared to last year, the overall trend reflects a more moderate pricing environment.

The lowest price in Ocala last reported by Gasbuddy.com was $2.66 at the Circle K on SW SR-200 just west of SW 60th Ave.

AAA says that the decline in oil prices by 5% last week, coupled with a 6-cent drop in gasoline futures, contributed to the initial price decrease. However, concerns about potential economic slowdown and interest rate cuts have led to a slight uptick in prices.
