LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) hopes sentences in two separate felony cases last week bring closure and healing to victims.
The cases involved a murde and a sexual battery.
Murder case

According to LCSO, 29-year-old Fredrick Donnell Williams has been held in custody for over three years in connection with a murder
Deputies say Williams shot and killed Khajon Lamont Spikes in Williston back in 2021.
Williams has been held at the Levy County Detention Center since his initial arrest on February 23, 2021.
LCSO says Williams’ case “came to a conclusion” on Thursday, as he was sentenced to 25 years.
Deputies say Williams will now spend the next quarter of a century behind bars at the Florida Department of Corrections.
They say he will remain on probation for five years following his release.
Sexual Battery case

LCSO says another case was closed as well on Thursday, involving 46-year-old John Lewis.
Deputies say Lewis has been incarcerated since November 8, 2023, on charges of sexual battery.
On Thursday, deputies say Lewis received a sentence of 20 years behind bars at the Florida Department of Corrections.
They say he will be monitored on “special condition sex offender probation” for 10 years after his release.
In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office expressed gratitude for the convictions. “We are thankful to the citizens of Levy County who served on the jury and to the Judicial system that will hold these two accountable for these crimes. Our hopes and prayers are for the continued healing of the victims in these cases.”
