BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) — A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the June 2 robbery at Truist Bank on SE Hwy 484 in Belleview, according to the Belleview Police Department.

Officers say the suspect, identified as Jordon Anchando, entered the bank and passed a note to a teller stating he had a gun and demanded money. The teller complied, and Anchando fled the scene in a white SUV.

With help from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and federal authorities, investigators identified Anchando and secured a warrant for his arrest on charges of robbery and grand theft.

Anchando was located on Saturday, June 7, at a residence on SE Robinson Road and was taken into custody without incident. Police say he declined to speak with investigators and was booked into the Marion County Jail, where he remains held without bond.

“I’m proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our officers during this investigation,” said Chief Terry Holland. “We’re also extremely grateful to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and our federal partners for their assistance.”
