OCALA, FL (352today.com) – It was a celebration of a new chapter for the Ocala Symphony Orchestra and the Reilly Arts Center, marked by a gift from AdventHealth that leaders say will truly transform lives.

The Reilly Arts Center and AdventHealth Ocala began their partnership in 2022, with a sponsorship aimed at supporting the Ocala Symphony’s programming and providing AdventHealth team members with access to live performances.

Since then, the relationship has deepened. The Reilly recently hosted the Ocala debut of the AdventHealth Orchestra, composed of musically talented physicians, clinicians and team members from across the AdventHealth system.

The Reilly also acknowledged AdventHealth’s sponsorship of an orchestra subscription concert weekend and the return of Handel’s Messiah.

“We also thank them for their support of our mission to increase access to classical music performance through our open rehearsal program,” said Natalie McComb, Reilly Arts Center executive director. “Today, I have the distinct honor of sharing something truly remarkable… Thanks to the incredible generosity and partnership of AdventHealth Ocala, we are proud to announce a transformative gift. A $1 million dollar investment over the next 10 years in support of our mission.”

AdventHealth’s gift will help sustain Reilly Arts Center operations, supporting performances, educational outreach, and community-centered initiatives.

“This afternoon, and in recognition of that gift, we unveil the newly named AdventHealth Mainstage,” said McComb. “A name that will represent not only special performances but a lasting commitment to the health, vitality and spirit of our community.”

AdventHealth Ocala CEO Erika Skula shared her personal connection.

“I truly believe that music heals,” said Skula. “It was one of the first moments I truly felt at home. Healing comes in many forms… the arts bring all of those elements together.”

Ocala Mayor Ben Marciano, who serves on the AdventHealth Ocala board, praised the impact.

“Today’s investment is transformational,” said Marciano. “It reflects the generosity and commitment of AdventHealth Ocala, but also a deeper belief in what the arts mean to our city. Civic spirit means cultural vision, and our city wins.”
