That big announcement from Carrie Underwood yesterday… didn’t happen. She posted an update on social media saying that “we have to keep those butterflies fluttering a little longer… more to come.”
We may be getting a new album from Kelsea Ballerini sometime this year. She got together with some frequent songwriter partners and they cranked out six new songs. It would be her fourth album.
Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley has released his new track “Beach Cowboy” from his EP BK’s Wave Pack. He says it started with the title, to be honest with you. I had it stowed away for a little bit, and we just kinda talked about how we wanted to write it, and I just said ‘Let’s keep it fun, let’s keep it authentic, let’s keep it me, let’s keep it real,” and it just kind of became an anthem.
It’s always an honor when one artist brags on another… Eric Church texted Thomas Rhett to tell him how much he love’s TR’s new song “Country Again.” It doesn’t hurt that TR named-checked Eric in the song. He talks about hanging with his buddies listening to Eric Church songs.
