Raid of Otter Springs

On January 15th and 16th the annual living history Reenactment will take place at the Otter Springs Park and campground. The reenactment is hosted by the ForVets veteran support organization and co-hosted by the 7th Brigade Sons of Confederate Veterans. There will be three battle reenactments re-creating all of the engagements of the Cedar Keys Raid. Saturday will re-create the Levyville and Clay’s Landing battles and Sunday’s battle will re-create the largest of the raid’s battles at Station Number Four. All proceeds from this event go to benefit the veterans’ support efforts of the ForVets organization which owns and manages the park. The cost is $5.00 a person, Children 7 and younger and Veterans with ID are FREE. There will be vendors selling food and crafts.
