We’re back for another year of Champions for Charity!

In just one year, we will give three charities over $30,000 in promotional support from K-Country, our sister station Wind-FM, and 352today.

Voting is officially underway to make your voice heard and support a local charity that helps children, animals, or veterans!

Voting is open through the 31st!

The Champions for Charity promotion will be broken into four phases: Submission Phase, Voting Phase, Charity Selection & Promotion Implementation. Champions for Charity Submission Phase, Voting Phase, and Charity Selection will occur on 12/4/2023-12/31/2023.

Submission Phase: December 4, 12:00am through December 17, 11:59pm. Listeners can submit a charity to be nominated for the Champions for Charity promotion at www.937kcountry.com/contests. All nominees must have headquarters within 75 miles of the NCFM offices at 1901 E Fort King Street, Ocala, Florida 34471. Each nominee will be screened by a North Central Florida Media Group staff member and must be a 501(c)(3) organization. The nominees must be considered an organization that helps children, animals, or veterans, all others will be removed from the nominee list. Charities that won the Champions for Charity contest in 2022 or 2023 are not eligible to win the Champions for Charity contest in 2024.

North Central Florida Media Group has the ultimate discretion over which nominees are approved to appear as nominees to be on the contest form and which nominees are selected as finalists. We will make all reasonable efforts to contact the charity within the limits of the Charity Selection phase. The order in which each charity is picked to receive their multimedia campaign will be randomly selected by North Central Florida Media Group.

One nomination/entry per charity. Submitting more than one entry per person per charity will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

This contest is being run concurrently and simultaneously with radio stations in Ocala/Gainesville, Florida, associated with North Central Florida Media Group. Charities will be competing against each other for the same prize. Three prizes will be awarded to all who are nominated through both stations: WYND-FM and WOGK-FM.

Voting Phase: December 18, 12:00am through December 31, 11:59pm. During this phase, voting will be open to the public. One vote per person, per day. Nominated charities are encouraged to share their nomination from the K-Country website to obtain more votes.

Listeners can vote once per day during the voting round.  Voting is limited to one vote per verified email address.  If an entrant receives irregular votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, North Central Florida Media Group reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion.

Charity Selection Phase: At the end of this phase, the THREE charities who have gathered the most online votes will be notified by phone before January 5th, 2024 as charities selected for the Champions for Charity Promotion. In the event of a tie, it is up to the discretion of North Central Florida Media to make any final decisions

Promotion Implementation Phase: Each of the three winning charities will be given one three-month period of the year, randomly selected, for their multimedia campaign. The three campaigns will run between March 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Before January 5th around 9am, the top three final charities will be decided by the most number votes collected via online voting, open to the public. The winning charities will be contacted by phone and awarded the prize. This contest is being run concurrently and simultaneously with radio stations in Ocala/Gainesville, Florida, associated with North Central Florida Media Group. Listeners of each station will be competing against each other for the same prize. The three prizes will be awarded between all who register through both stations: WYND-FM and WOGK-FM.

Prizes will be awarded to the three final charities during the Promotion Implementation phase, 3/1-12/31. The prizes will be “awarded” during each randomly selected quarter that the charity is chosen for.
