Big Red

93.7 K COUNTRY: 3:00pm - 7:00pm  Monday - Friday

I was born in West Virginia and in 1974, we moved to just south of Fayetteville. After eight years there, we moved to Florida, and I’ve never wanted to live anywhere else! The quality of life here is amazing!

North Central Florida is an outdoor paradise! I had horses for several years. There are so many great places to ride, like the Greenway, and the Ocala National Forest, and plenty of arenas for competition on all levels.

Fishing is a passion, and what better place to be! Bass fishing on the St. John’s River, Lake Weir, or the Harris Chain. Pier fishing on both coasts (love Cedar Key), and in the intercoastal waterway. Inshore and offshore on your own boat, or with one of our outstanding guides is a great way to enjoy a day, or a weekend!

I love photography, and there’s so many places to get great shots of Florida’s abundant wildlife and scenery. Beautiful sunrises on the Atlantic, and sunsets on the Gulf are a short drive away. We have a lot of Old Florida here, like Micanopy, to photograph and enjoy.

And the music! So many great concert venues surround us, bringing us the best stars! I love our K Country Acoustic concerts, which are so intimate! And, there’s a thriving local music scene that I’m proud to be part of.

I’m enjoying my career more than ever! Fifty years ago, this red headed 12-year-old did his first radio show in Spencer, WV.
The journey took me through North Carolina, to Orlando, and in 1994 to afternoons at 93-7 K Country!

This is home, and I love it!
