The Discovery Center’s newest exhibit, Brain Games, opens to the public Saturday, Jan. 15 and will be on display through Saturday, March 26 at the Discovery Center, located at 701 NE Sanchez Ave. The exhibit will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10am-4pm.
The Discovery Center will be filled with giant games at the new exhibit. Kids will have the chance to sink an opponent’s battleship, climb ladders and slide down chutes, and test their operating skills on larger-than-life games. This hands-on exhibit will test the participant’s ability to beat the clock, practice hand-eye coordination and showcase cleverness and skills.
General admission to the Discovery Center is $8 per person or $28 for a family of four. Annual memberships are also available for individuals and families. By reservation only, the StarLab Planetarium shows are held Saturdays and tickets are $30 per ten-person group. Guests are encouraged to call ahead to book a reservation time for the planetarium. An alternative Planetarium-like show, NASA Solar System Exploration, is also available for a $3 add-on to the price of general admission.
This exhibit is sponsored by Marion Rotary Duck Derby, Ocala Electric Utility, Bearded Browncoat Comics & Games, Fun4Ocala Kids and the Discovery Center Foundation.
